There's power in prayer

Our house has been on the market for about two weeks now and this afternoon we received two offers on it. I have been praying since we moved that we would sell our house quickly. But last week, I began praying that we would receive an offer on it sometime this week. I even fasted, something I've never done before. I wanted to show God that I was willing to make sacrifices for his blessings. Not only did God answer my prayer with one offer, but he overwhelmed us with two. Part of my prayer was that the offer we received would not be for less than the asking price of the home. Again, God came through in abundance. One of the offers was to pay more than what we were asking on the home! By yesterday evening, our realtor called us to say that one of the clients wanted to ammend their offer. It seems that the couple wants the home so badly they dropped their request that we pay their closing costs. They wanted to make a more competitive offer. God wants us to enjoy life abundantly. It takes faithfulness and obedience to receive His abundance. I can't say for sure that either offer will result in a closing on our house, but I can say that I trust God to get it sold!

I came to your blog from the Leino's blog and I have to say thanks for posting this answer to prayer. It was very encouraging since we are about to put our house on the market. I don't know why we don't pray pationately about everything, because, you're right, God does want to bless us and show us his power.

I keep blieveing that if enough of us continue and don't give up, God is going to heal baby Isaac. It's been great to get to know a little of some of the people I am joining in prayer with for the Leino's.

Good luck with the house, Gina. Let me tell you, we actually ended up with three offers on our house after only two weeks on the market. God is good all the time and I know He has a great plan for Baby Isaac. You're absolutely right though, we can't give up!
