Baby Boogies

Why is it that baby noses seem to have no moisture therefore making baby boogies stick like superglue? A gigantic boogie hanging half out of the nose can take a day to chisel loose and pry off. Of course, the removal process is hindered by baby's maniac thrasher mode. This is when baby's head turns and shakes in every direction he can twist it while your hand is battered by his arms and legs which are simontaneously pushing you away from the twisting head. Not only is removing the boogie difficult, but even arriving close enough on the face to attempt removal can be challenging. Anyone with useful strategies to combat this strange baby phenomenon should leave me a comment.
NINE MONTH REPORT
Cohen had his nine month check up on Friday. He weighs 20 lbs. and is 28 inches long, both measurements are in the 50th percentile. We got a great report on Friday and Cohen got the first dose of his flu shot. But, then, dun, dun, dun.........Cohen had a fever all weekend, a high fever of over 103 degrees. We just got him over pnemonia and now he's sick again. We called his doctor over the weekend because the temp. was so high. Doc said a mild fever was a normal reaction to the flu shot, but a fever of over 103 was not normal. He said that if Cohen was eating and drinking well and did not act miserable, we could treat him with Tylenol/Motrin and wait until Monday to take him back to the doc. if he still has the fever. If he stopped eating well, we were to take him to the ER right away. He still has a fever but he has eaten enough that we felt we could wait. We'll see how it goes when Cohen wakes up.

I always take a wet washcloth and smear Taylor in the face with it before I start pulling out boogers. And then I'll put some water in her bulb syringe before putting that in her nose to moisten it up. She hates both, but it's worth it to get those nasty boogers out.
