Well, what a change of events. I made the desserts I plan to take to Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Billie's. I usually order them from a caterer, but this year I was brave and took the task of cooking on myself. I made cornbread cakes, keylime squares and brownies. (I'll have to post the recipe for the cornbread cakes. It's easy!) Everything turned out well if I do say so myself. It probably would have been cheaper to order from the caterer because I spent far more at the grocery store than I would have on my desserts. And, it was all a bunch of junk--junk food that is. And, it wasn't even junk food for me. It was junk food for Cohen. Cookies, crackers, cereal bars, turkey sticks, wagon wheels....
Thankgiving was wonderful. It was so nice to have three days off from work, but then again, it was hard to go back. Cohen ate turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, beans and all kinds of yummy food. Of course, I think he would of liked it more if he hadn't had diarreah. He was on an antibiotic for an ear infection that gave him terrible diarreah and a yeast infection. It was the worst thing we've been through. It was even worse than the pnemonia. We stopped the meds. I called his doctor to see if they wanted to prescribe something else. I still haven't heard back from them. Needless to say, they are no longer his doctors. We'll be trying somewhere new. But, that's a whole other story.
Check out Cohen's first Thanksgiving picture.
